Pennington was a mid-season aquisition who debuted for the club 10/2/05 vs. Bear Sky. A very composed left back the addition of Pennington could not have come at a better time as Cris Hernandez had ruled himself out with a hip flexor injury and at the time was also battling chronic tardiness. Pennington's solid play over the following few games solidified his place in the starting eleven.
